Send a file
Go to the front page. Drag your files onto the box that says Drop files or folders here, or click the box to pick them from your computer or phone. You can send one file, lots of files or a whole folder.
Choose your settings
Before you send, you can decide a few things:
- How long the link works. When the time is up, the link stops working by itself.
- How many downloads. The link stops working after this many downloads. Leave it at 0 if you don't want a limit.
- Password protect: people have to type in a password before they can open your files. Send the password separately, for example in a text message.
Get your link
Press Encrypt & Upload and wait a moment while your files are sent. When it's done, you get a link. Press the copy button and paste the link into an email or a message to the person who should have the files.
There's also a QR code. Scan it with your phone's camera to open the files on your phone.
With or without an account
Without an account, the link works for up to 3 days. When the link stops working, your files are deleted for good.
When you're logged in, everything you send from the front page is also saved in My Files. There you can keep your files for as long as you like, sort them into folders and create new links whenever you need.

- The link works like a key. Anyone who has it can open your files, so only send it to the people who should have them.
- Your files are locked on your own device before they're sent, so not even VeilShare can look inside them.
