Terms of Service

VeilShare provides end-to-end encrypted file sharing:

• Files are encrypted in your browser
• Encrypted file blob sent to server
• Only people with the key (stored in the share link) can access a shared file or folder
• A share link stops working when it expires, reaches its download limit or is deactivated. Files and folders uploaded without an account are then deleted from storage within an hour; files in your account are kept until you delete them
• Accounts are optional; creating one lets you buy a plan for higher limits, manage uploaded files and more.

By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and us.

Creating an account is optional. If you create one, you agree to:

• Provide a valid email address you control
• Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised
• Take responsibility for activity that occurs under your account

You may delete your account at any time. Deleting your account permanently deletes files which you linked to your account and cannot be undone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You're welcome to use a VPN, proxy, or similar tool with VeilShare for privacy or network reasons. However, you may not:

• Use a VPN, proxy, or similar tool to evade rate limits, storage quotas, download limits, or other usage restrictions placed on your account or IP address
• Create multiple accounts to bypass free-tier limits, quotas, or other restrictions

We may suspend or terminate accounts, and revoke access, where we determine these restrictions are being circumvented.

Paid plans can be purchased with a credit card via Stripe (auto-renewing subscription) or with a one-time Bitcoin (BTC) payment (no auto-charging). Prices are set in EUR; BTC amounts are converted at purchase time.

Each BTC purchase generates a unique deposit address; unpaid invoices expire and must be redone. Stripe subscriptions can be managed or cancelled anytime from Settings → Billing.

We'll email a reminder ~7 days before a non-renewing plan expires. Once your plan ends, your account reverts to free-tier limits. If your stored files now exceed your new limit, you'll get 30 days' warning to download or renew before excess files are deleted (least recently accessed first).

Bitcoin payments are generally irreversible, so refunds for them aren't guaranteed. Card payments via Stripe can be refunded at our discretion. Contact us with any billing issues.

Gift codes have their own redemption limits and expiry, and creating multiple accounts to claim extra gift codes or campaign offers is not allowed.

VeilShare is meant to be a quick, easy way to share files, with or without an account. Users may not upload, share, or distribute malware, phishing content, unlawful material, copyrighted material (without the owner's permission), or content that violates applicable law.

If you believe content shared through VeilShare violates these terms or applicable law, please contact us.

Because files are encrypted, we cannot review uploaded content. However, we may remove access to files in response to abuse reports, security concerns, or legal requests.

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any files will be preserved without loss.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, including loss of data, business interruption, or unauthorized access. This includes losses related to Bitcoin network fees, confirmation delays, exchange-rate fluctuations, or funds sent to an incorrect or expired address.

We may modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
