Terms of Service

1. Service Description

VeilShare provides end-to-end encrypted file sharing:

• Files are encrypted in your browser
• Encrypted file blob sent to server
• Only people with the decryption key (stored in the link) can access a file
• A file becomes inaccessible when its download limit is reached or it expires, and is deleted from storage within an hour of that
• Accounts are optional; creating one lets you buy a plan for higher limits, manage uploaded files and more.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and us.

3. Accounts

Creating an account is optional. If you create one, you agree to:

• Provide a valid email address you control
• Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised
• Take responsibility for activity that occurs under your account

You may delete your account at any time. Deleting your account permanently deletes files which you linked to your account and cannot be undone.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You're welcome to use a VPN, proxy, or similar tool with VeilShare for privacy or network reasons. However, you may not:

• Use a VPN, proxy, or similar tool to evade rate limits, storage quotas, download limits, or other usage restrictions placed on your account or IP address
• Create multiple accounts to bypass free-tier limits, quotas, or other restrictions

We may suspend or terminate accounts, and revoke access, where we determine these restrictions are being circumvented.

5. Payments and Plans

Paid plans are one-time Bitcoin (BTC) payments with no auto-charging. Prices are set in EUR and converted to BTC at purchase time.

Each purchase generates a unique deposit address; unpaid invoices expire and must be redone.

We'll email a reminder ~7 days before your plan expires. Once it ends, your account reverts to free-tier limits. If you are eligible to store permanent files and they now exceed your new limit, you'll get 30 days' warning to download or renew before excess files are deleted (least recently accessed first).

Since BTC payments are generally irreversible, refunds aren't guaranteed and are handled case-by-case - contact us with any billing issues.

Coupons have their own redemption limits and expiry, and creating multiple accounts to claim extra coupons or campaign offers is not allowed.

6. Prohibited Content

VeilShare is meant to be a quick, easy way to share files, with or without an account. Users may not upload, share, or distribute malware, phishing content, unlawful material, copyrighted material (without the owner's permission), or content that violates applicable law.

If you believe content shared through VeilShare violates these terms or applicable law, please report it to [email protected].

Because files are encrypted, we cannot review uploaded content. However, we may remove access to files in response to abuse reports, security concerns, or legal requests.

7. No Warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind.

• We do not guarantee that the service will work 24/7
• We do not guarantee that the service is error-free
• We do not guarantee that files will not be lost

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, including loss of data, business interruption, or unauthorized access. This includes losses related to Bitcoin network fees, confirmation delays, exchange-rate fluctuations, or funds sent to an incorrect or expired address.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
