Billing questions

We offer multiple payment methods.

Credit Card/Apple Pay: the easiest option for most people, and subscriptions renew automatically so you don't have to think about it. Payments are processed via Stripe, so we don't see your card details.

Bitcoin: for anyone who'd rather use some spare crypto or want to be more private. Even though Bitcoin and most other cryptocurrencies aren't completely anonymous, it is definitely more privacy respecting than traditional fiat payment methods.

Card subscriptions can be cancelled anytime from Settings → Billing → Manage subscription. You keep your plan until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Bitcoin payments are one-time and never renew, so there's nothing to cancel.

Yes. If you pay with Bitcoin for the same plan you subscribe to by card, the time is added to your plan and your next card payment is pushed back by the same amount.

If you pay with Bitcoin for a different plan, your card subscription is cancelled and you switch to the new plan.

Yes, anytime. The time left on your current plan is converted into time on the new one, so there's no need to wait for it to run out.

To downgrade, the files you're storing need to fit within the new plan's storage. If they don't, delete some files first.

Buying your current plan again adds the time to the end of your current period.

If your plan isn't set to renew, we email you 7 days before it expires. When it ends, your account goes back to the free account limits.

If you're storing more than a free account allows, you have 30 days to download your files or renew. We send a final reminder before anything is deleted. After that, the files you've accessed least recently are deleted until you're back under the limit.

It's how much you can download per day while signed in, across all files. It resets at midnight UTC.

People downloading files you share use their own allowance, not yours. Without an account, that's 25 GB a day.
